we'll run like we're awesome, totally genius.
i have tickets. to see the national. in september. brain short-circuiting from excitement. facebook status-esque, truncated sentences have ensued. somebody send back-up. AUGH *explodes*
oh yeah, and one more thing: dear f-list? can i entrust you to showcase my incoherency to the world? hook me up with some disconcertingly logical raving lunatics. or something. go! enjoy the delusion of control of my life, when in fact you serve only MY ends. that's right, bitches. world domination happens one wildly incoherent blog post at a time. \o/
OMG BE BFF WITH

SO ANYWAY HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? I've been meaning to comment on your more recent entries but never got around to it. SO I HEARD YOU TOOK THE SATs? That must've been very painful. Have I ever told you I took them three times? The first two I took in middle school (7th and 8th grades) as part of Johns Hopkins' Talent Search, and I actually did really well on them! Of course, that was the old test, and when I took it for realz, it was the new one with the writing section, which I did horribly on, but everything else (as well as three SAT IIs) got me into a selective college that I now hate, so.....yeah. 8D And your post on empathy vs. compassion was really good too (even though I probably wouldn't define those words exactly like that, but whatever), and it was really thought-provoking. I might do a post on it sometime soon, you never know. And your link to the "sane privilege" essay was pretty good too. :D

in all honesty, i never used to wax hyperbolic about this band pre-high violet. don't get me wrong: they've always been one of my favorites, but the FKUJHBDJKSBJDB *FLAILY HANDS, FLUTTERING HEART, DELIRIOUS FANTHINGY INCOHERENCY* I MUST SEE THEM LIVE NOW symptoms did not surface until high violet's release. if that doesn't answer your question, yeah, i do not have WORDS for how much i ADORE this album, dude.
ahahahah nice flash recap of all my most recent entries. um, the SATs made me murderous. i totally did some version of that john hopkins program in, like, fifth grade, but i have no idea what i took. it was some abridged version of the SATs, i guess, and i scored off-the-charts awesome in reading/writing, ran-into-the-ground shitawful with my math. and HEY, that's a pretty accurate analysis of my recent scores (you know, the ones that actually...count ;__;)! apparently i have not changed at all since the age of eleven. this is an unsettling realization.
glad to hear you've been enjoying my posts :D. and i'd love to hear more of thoughts on empathy vs. compassion whenever you get around to articulating them!
