DUDE. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS YOUR FRIEND. you could always meet up with someone via message board (no idea if the national has a substantial online fanbase, but omg how could they not THEY ARE SO PAINFULLY AWESOME), or go alone. i've admittedly never attended a concert alone, but i know people who have who've SURVIVED and even enjoyed the experience :D. basically what i am saying is YOU MUST SEE THE NATIONAL AT ALL COSTS, MY GOOD MAN. fkbjksfbndsjkfb they are the best band ever
in all honesty, i never used to wax hyperbolic about this band pre-high violet. don't get me wrong: they've always been one of my favorites, but the FKUJHBDJKSBJDB *FLAILY HANDS, FLUTTERING HEART, DELIRIOUS FANTHINGY INCOHERENCY* I MUST SEE THEM LIVE NOW symptoms did not surface until high violet's release. if that doesn't answer your question, yeah, i do not have WORDS for how much i ADORE this album, dude.
ahahahah nice flash recap of all my most recent entries. um, the SATs made me murderous. i totally did some version of that john hopkins program in, like, fifth grade, but i have no idea what i took. it was some abridged version of the SATs, i guess, and i scored off-the-charts awesome in reading/writing, ran-into-the-ground shitawful with my math. and HEY, that's a pretty accurate analysis of my recent scores (you know, the ones that actually...count ;__;)! apparently i have not changed at all since the age of eleven. this is an unsettling realization.
glad to hear you've been enjoying my posts :D. and i'd love to hear more of thoughts on empathy vs. compassion whenever you get around to articulating them!
